The first T-shirt

The first T-shirts were cotton undershirts given to American sailors in 1913 to hide their "shocking" chest hair. At the same time, US soldiers in Europe discovered cotton undershirts. The soldiers preferred thes to the wool undershirts, which were part of their uniform.

Pledge of allegiance


In the morning, when the students arrive at school, they see their "homeroom teacher". The homeroom teacher" takes attendance and makes announcements. In some schools, you say The PLedge of Allegiance in homeroom. You stand and put your right hand over you heart to say it.

Tokyo hotel
The "sleep capsules" in this hotel in Tokyo are only tho square metres. You can sit up and read (or work) or lie down and watch television. A perfect place to stay... if you're not cloustrophobic!

A boy with ambition

He is a very hard worker. He is happy working all night in the recording studio. "Since I was a kid I've thought that if you put more pressure on your self than what's needed, you're going to get something back."
